Associate Pastor of Students and Discipleship
Job Requirements: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Job Purpose:
To assist the Senior Pastor in leading CCCC’s Childen’s ministry by leading the Youth Group
(EndZone) and assisting with Children's ministry oversight, as time allows. This man will have a
passion for youth, a deep understanding of the needs and struggles of youth in today’s culture,
and a desire to see Jesus highly esteemed by the next generation.
Job Duties:
1. Aligns with Scriptural requirement for Elder (1 Tim 3:2-7, Titus 1:6-9, 1 Pet 5:1-3)
2. Plan, organize, direct, and promote year-round EndZone ministry. Conduct weekly
services, organize and direct various Bible studies, regularly conduct ministry
visits (in home and in school), and plan for special events.
3. Provide pastoral care for the EndZone students.
4. Supervise the technical aspects of EndZone (audio, video, etc.)
5. Develop and recommend for approval annual goals for the EndZone and actions for attaining them.
6. Review and evaluate EndZone goals and achievements quarterly with Senior Pastor;
make adjustments as needed.
7. Remain informed of the current student culture to minister to needs properly.
8. Train a team composed of lay leaders from within the church to maintain the
EndZone Ministry.
9. Appropriately manage budget planning and spending for Endzone.
10. Will be called on to preach in the corporate gathering a few times per year.
Organizational Relationships:
Accountable to the Sr. Pastor
Assist Sr. Pastor with supervision of ministry leaders of VBS, AWANA, Kid’s Club, and Nursery as
time allows.
Candidate Qualifications:
Age: 25-50
Marital Status: Married preferred
Necessary Strengths:
1. A Christ-centered and Spirit-empowered life.
2. A Passion for connecting teenagers to Christ through teaching and example
3. The ability to lead, motivate, and influence youth and their parents.
4. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
5. The ability to adapt to changing environments.
6. The ability to cast a vision and create excitement that leads to volunteer engagement
7. A servant's heart.
8. Strong administrative skills and willingness to delegate
Education Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies required or equivalent experience.
Seminary education or equivalent preferred but not required.
Compensation:
Salary Dependent on Experience
