Chris was born in Kalamazoo, and has lived in the area most of his life as a proud Michigander. As the son of a pastor, Chris was raised in a Christ-centered and ministry-focused home, along with his five younger siblings. Chris and his amazing wife, Jasmine, have known each other for more than 20 years, and got married in 2018. They have a beautiful daughter named Adalie, and they love enjoying life as a family. In his free time, Chris enjoys camping, gardening, watching action movies and football, playing drums, and drinking Mountain Dew.
After graduating high school and attending a community college for a few years, Chris became aware of God’s calling to vocational ministry. He then attended Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies in 2015. Soon after, he was led to Calvary Bible Church East in Kalamazoo, where he served as Youth Minister for almost 8 years. In 2023, Chris was called to a new role as Associate Pastor at Cherry Creek, where he currently attends and serves with his family. Chris and his family are grateful and excited to be able to serve God and love people at Cherry Creek! Jim is married to the beautiful and caring Erin, and is the doting father of four beautiful children, who have him wrapped around their little fingers. God has blessed Jim and his family immeasurably, and he hopes that by serving in this capacity, people will sense the love of Christ, and of His Church towards them.
Rebecca has served in the church office since 2006 and has been blessed to call Cherry Creek her home church since 2001, where she started out attending youth group. She was blessed with a wonderful daughter, Elaina, in 2011. Rebecca delights in being able to serve in the church office during the week, as well as care for her daughter in an environment that lifts up families and encourages a growing walk with Christ.
