Associate Pastor
Job Requirements: Full time, 40 hours/wk
Job Purpose:
Cherry Creek exists to glorify God by proclaiming to people the good news of hope, forgiveness, and salvation through personal faith in God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Cherry Creek seeks to accomplish this mission by growing Christ-centered homes. We are currently seeking a full-time Associate Pastor to join our staff who will help us in this mission.
Job Duties:
1. Aligns with Scriptural Requirement for Elder (1 Tim 3:2-7, Titus 1:6-9, 1 Pet 5:1-3)
2. Plans, organizes, directs, and promotes year-round church ministries.
3. Develop a volunteer training and leadership development track alongside the Senior Pastor in keeping with Cherry Creek’s vision of Growing Christ-Centered Homes.
4. Oversee and equip the Children's Ministry and small group leaders.
5. Disciple individuals to take the next steps toward baptism, utilizing spiritual giftings and engagement in the Body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission.
6. Partner with the Senior Pastor to create effective strategies for developing a culture of infectious discipleship.
7. Review and evaluate the overall ministerial goals and achievements quarterly with the Senior Pastor.
8. Assist the Senior Pastor with pastoral care for church families.
9. Will be called on to preach in the corporate gathering on occasion, as well as teaching in various ministries, based on the candidate's desire and the church's needs.
10. Must be flexible and willing to assist Senior Pastor and Elders with any other duty that may arise in order to fulfill the vision of the church.
Organizational Relationships:
Accountable to the Sr. Pastor
Serve and Equip Cherry Creek as primary administrator of ministries
Candidate Qualifications:
Age: 25-50
Marital Status: Married preferred
Necessary Strengths:
1. A Christ-centered and Spirit-empowered life.
2. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
3. The ability to adapt to changing environments.
4. The ability to cast a vision and create excitement that leads to volunteer engagement.
5. A servant's heart.
6. Strong administrative skills and willingness to delegate.
Education Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies required or equivalent experience.
Seminary education or equivalent preferred.
Compensation:
Salary Dependent on Experience
