Mission
Involvement in healthy care groups invigorates individual spiritual growth and a healthier, spiritually fit corporate church body. (Matthew 22:37-38)
Purpose
To develop fully devoted disciples/followers of Christ (A Heart For God-John 15:5) where members can naturally and specifically minister to one another as needs arise (A Heart For People-Matthew 9:36)
Women's Ministry
Our women's ministry is very active and provides wonderful opportunities for women of all ages to engage in meaningful relationships while providing encouragement and an environment for spiritual nurturing. There are many ministry activities happening throughout the year:
  • GLD Ladies Retreat in the Spring
        -The 2009 Ladies Retreat will be held at Miracle Camp in Lawton, MI on May 1-3.

  • Mother's Day in May

  • Ladies Night Out in the Summer

  • Trip to Shipshewana in the Summer
    •
  • Taste of Cherry Creek in the Winter
    •
  • Ladies Craft Days throughout the year

  • Prayer Meeting First Thursday of the Month at 11:00 AM at the church

    This group of women from Cherry Creek Community Church had a blast at the 2007 GLD Ladies Retreat.
    Men's Ministry
    Men, you're not alone. At CCCC our men focus on encouraging and building each other up through regular studies, prayer meetings and events designed for all ages. Here's a look at activities men can get involved in:
  • GLD Men's Retreat in the Spring
        -This year, the retreat was at Timber-Lee Christian Center in East Troy, WI on April 24 & 25.

  • Father's Day in June

  • Tail Gate Parties in the fall
    •
  • Prayer Meetings
        -Thrusday Lunch at 12:30 p.m. at the Portage Culvers
        -Saturday Morning Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the church
          Meets on the first Saturday of each month
    •
    Growth Groups
    These provide a more intimate atmosphere where people can grow closer to God through Sermon-based study, relationships and fellowship. Now is the time to get involved and dig deeper into God's Word, as well as find new friends and strengthen old.
    Sign up and group transfer opportunities will be made available every 3 months. You are always free to stay with the Growth Group you're in or try another!
